- The Springfield Westling Team took second place in the PCA Tournament.
The Springville Wrestling Team took 2nd place in the PCA Tournament in Prattville on December 21.
On December 21, Springville Civil Air Patrol, AL-126 SM Hollingsworth and Capt McEntyre delivered gifts that were collected by members of Springville Cadet Squadron and Payless Pharmacy to the Veteran’s Home in Pell City via SM Serren Hollingsworth and Tracy Cook who organized the donations.

The Springville Basketball Teams are halfway through their seasons. The 9th grade boys team is standing at 3 wins and one loss. The JV boys teams is currently undefeated with 9 wins and 0 losses. The Springville boys Varsity team is standing at 7 wins and 5 losses. The Girls Varsity team is currently standing at 5 wins and 6 losses.
The Springville Fire Department hosted the St. Clair County Fire & EMS Association’s pump test for fire departments in and around St. Clair County on December 9th-12th with over 40 trucks tested.

Springville Preservation Society
The Springville Preservation Society is now taking reservations for use of the historic “Little House” located adjacent to the Police Department for events or meetings. Springville Police Department is presenting a Firearms Safety course which is open to the public. The course includes 2 hour classroom training and 2 hours actual training on the firing range by two certified NRA instructors. You may sign up by calling Lauri Jones at 205-467-6133. The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work and piloting skills.
