What’s Up in Odenville

Hello Readers! I’m back from my sabbatical with another edition of “What’s Up in Odenville”.

School has been back in session a couple of weeks now and I am still trying to adjust to the fact I no longer have kids in school. My baby graduated in May, which was hard, but not having to run around like a lost Christmas goose trying to get back-to-school clothes and supplies was very strange. One would think we saved a lot of money, but one would be wrong. Baby boy has been keeping the roads hot, so what I saved in back-to-school items I lost in gas money. It’s time somebody got a J-O-B or he will find himself living in a T-E-N-T.

Let’s get to the news.

SCCHS Saints Mickey Venable stadium has a new press box located on the band boosters concession stand side. The home side will now be on this side.

Our favorite little LSU fan Colton Moore is getting his wish to meet Coach Ed Orgeron on October 5! Colton, who has spina bifida and has had 38 surgeries to date, became an LSU fan a while back after watching the Tigers beat Arkansas at the Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament. His mom Jennifer took his back-to-school picture while he was decked out head to toe in purple and gold and posted on social media. The people at LSU got wind of Colton’s story and put the plan in motion the make Colton’s dream come true.
