The law firm of Trussell, Funderburg, Rea & Bell was selected as the Pell City Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month on Tuesday.

The firm has received several accolades in the past year, including the Large Affiliate of the Year Award from the St. Clair County Association of Realtors and Top 10 in the Legacy Club of the Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.

They have grown a lot since William Trussell and Erskine Funderburg began their partnership in 1992. Since then they have added attorneys John Rea, Lance Bell, Kelly Ferguson, Michael Dillard and Bry Daves to their office.

“We are all local lawyers who love to serve the community we grew up in,” said Kelly Ferguson, who has been with the firm since 2015. Ferguson, who used to commute to Birmingham, said “I joined the firm because I love the community. I’m raising a family here and worming here is a bonus.”

William Trussell has been practicing law in Pell City for over 40 years, graduating law school in 1972.

The firm offers services in general practice, real estate, business law, wills, family law, and personal injury.

“We can help with pretty much any legal need you may have,” said John Rea, who also serves as the Attorney for the City of Pell City. He has been with the firm for eight years.

Each month, the Pell City Chamber of Commerce Board votes on a Business of the Month in several categories including small business, industry, restaurants, non-profits, and legal.
