Victory Christian 2019 Graduates

- Victory Christian Seniors receive scholarships at their awards ceremony.
Victory Christian 27 seniors earned over $1.7 million in scholarships to multiple colleges throughout the region.
Sonali Albus received the most with 15 scholarships, including scholarships from Business Profession Women and Moody Kiwanis Club.

Maggie Barber received four scholarships, including the Lilly Grace Scholarship, given in memoriam of three year old Lilly Grace. Lilly’s mother described her as “smart, and sassy.” Lilly fell in a pool eight years ago and drowned. Lilly was an organ donor and saved two lives.
“She has saved a lot of eternal lives as well,” her mother stated.
Maggie Barber also received the Micky Gordon Barber Scholarship for $4000, named in memory of her father-in-law, who worked at Avondale Mills for over 50 years.
“He really believed in education,” Sandra Barber said as she presented the award.
“We are so proud of our seniors and all the scholarships they have been awarded,” said Victory Christian Principal Dawn Reed.
