PREP BASEBALL PLAYOFFS: Pell City falls to Cullman 14-3 in Game 3 tiebreaker

Pell City’s season came to a close following a 14-3 loss to Cullman in the Class 6A playoffs on Saturday.
The No. 7 Bearcats crafted six runs in the first inning and eight runs in the third inning to seize control of the Game 3 tiebreaker, which took place at Bill Shelton Field.
The Panthers won Game 1 of the second-round series 4-3 on Friday.
However, Cullman took Game 2 by a 7-1 score to force Saturday’s tiebreaker.
Clayton Hildabrant (RBI), Alex Tate (RBI), Kolton Fincher, Canaan Garrett and Bailey Watkins racked up one hit apiece for Pell City, which wrapped up its season with a 23-12 record.
