“Put Your Best Fork Forward” nutrition workshop will be held on Friday, April 5 from 11 a.m.—12:30 p.m. at the St. Clair County Extension Office, which is located on the lower level of the St. Clair County Courthouse in Pell City, Basement Office 4. The class will be a reminder that “each bite counts.”
Small changes make a big impact over time. Adding a piece of fruit to breakfast, opting for whole grain bread instead of white bread, or drinking more water, when implemented daily, can make a big impact toward improving your overall health.
Drastic changes, like eliminating entire food groups, or adopting a major shift in diet are not necessary to be successful. In fact, the 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans actually suggest, “starting with small changes in order to make healthier lasting changes you can enjoy.”
There is a registration fee of $5/person to cover costs of supplies and materials. You must pre-register to attend. Class size is limited.
Please call the St. Clair County Extension Office at 205-338-9416 to pre-register no later than Monday, April 1. For more information about this class or other nutrition-related questions, please contact Helen Jones, Human Sciences Regional Extension Agent at 334-201-6775 or email herndhj@aces.edu.
