Springville Youth Baseball Association and the City of Springville made improvements to the Springville Baseball and Softball Complex located at Village Springs Road on February 15. The batting cages were upgraded and new lighting is being installed.
Students, staff, parents and community volunteers spread hay on the new playground at SES on February 14.
Mr Mark taught the students at Preschool Storytime about drums and music at the Springville Public Library on February 12.
Local teens participated in the Bookmaking Workshop for Teens and Adults at the Springville Public Library on February 12.
The Ashville RC Plane Club taught cadets from the Springville Civil Air Patrol -CAP126 about making RC Planes on February 13.

Congratulations to the Springville High School Wrestlers that will compete at the AHSAA 1A-5A. State Tournament in Huntsville on February 15 and 16.
Chase Campbell, Mason Beck, Ian Orr, Trent Gilham and Noah Lee have been selected for the team.
Kindergarten Roundup will be the morning of March 21 at SES. This is an opportunity for upcoming kindergartners and their parents to meet the teachers and staff at SES. Details will be forthcoming soon.
Springville Elementary School will be hosting the 2nd Annual Food Truck Rally on Saturday. May 4. If you would like to contribute or participate, contact Coach Lisa at SES.

The Springville Preservation Society is now taking reservations for use of the historic “Little House” located adjacent to the Police Department for events or meetings. Rates are $25 for two hours, $50 for four hours and $100 per day. Contact Sara Trotter or reservations at 205-467-3000.

Springville Police Department is presenting a Firearms Safety course which is open to the public. The course includes 2 hour classroom training and 2 hours actual training on the firing range by two certified NRA instructors. You may sign up by calling Lauri Jones at 205-467-6133. The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6pm – 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work and piloting skills.
