The Springville High School Tiger Band Annual Queen of Hearts Pageant was held February 9 and Hannah Hobbs was crowned Miss Queen of Hearts 2019. 

St Clair County School Board President Mike Howard spoke at Springville Elementary on February 5 about the future of Springville schools. 

February is Heart Awareness Month and Springville Pediatrics will be posting facts and tidbits all month on their Facebook page, @SpringvillePediatrics,  to help children in the area focus on heart health.

Members of the Springville High School Drum Corps participated in Super Bowl Sunday events at Faith Community Church in Springville on February 3.

Kindergarten Roundup will be the morning of March 21 at SES. This is an opportunity for upcoming kindergartners and their parents to meet the teachers and staff at SES. Details will be forthcoming soon.

Springville Elementary School will be hosting the 2nd Annual Food Truck Rally on Saturday. May 4. If you would like to contribute or participate, contact Coach Lisa at SES.

The Springville Preservation Society is now taking reservations for use of the historic “Little House” located adjacent to the Police Department for events or meetings. Rates are $25 for two hours, $50 for four hours and $100 per day. Contact Sara Trotter or reservations at 205-467-3000.

Springville Police Department is presenting a Firearms Safety course which is open to the public. The course includes 2 hour classroom training and 2 hours actual training on the firing range by two certified NRA instructors. You may sign up by calling Lauri Jones at 205-467-6133. The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work and piloting skills.
