Cayce Johnson, owner of 4 Messy Monkies Mercantile, wanted to created a place that helped mothers.
As the mom of four boys, whom the store is named for, Johnson had an online store for 10 years before opening her first storefront in Pell City.
“We want to keep it special,” Johnson said. “We have moms who stay at home, work, and create for supplemental income.”
The store has handmade items such as home décor, jewelry, and personalized gifts. Vendors include Leslie Gilmer with Proud South Designs, Gayle Montgomery with WG Designs, Becky Lawder with Red Door Vintique, and Kayce Benefiel with KR Designs.
Each vendor has different items available for sale and special order.
