The God is Bigger Movement was created to provide a banner of hope to a broken world for those who are hurting or lost. The ministry is based on Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing shall be impossible”.  Their message is to let all who need to know that when life gets big, God is bigger.  They are a non-profit 501(C)3 independent organization, not church affiliated.

They are looking for sponsors to assist in their first annual Bass Fishing Tournament that will be held on October 20 at Logan Martin Lake, Lakeside Landing.  There will be $4,030.00 given away to 13 winning prize places.  Majestic Outdoors will be performing the weigh-in for they tournament.  Food will be provided for anglers and volunteers attending the event.

Sponsors who give a monetary donation or a merchandise donation valued at $250 or more will have a 3’ x 5’ banner displayed at the event and will be acknowledged on social media.  Sponsors who donate less than $250 will be acknowledged at the event.

The God is Bigger Movement merchandise is available for a donation, but the movement gives a large portion of their inventory to missionaries in and out of the country, abused women, charities, flood victims, the homeless, victims of mass shootings, pilots for Christ, prayer vigils, fire victims, or anyone needing hope.

“Wherever we see the need, we go and give.   There are countless stories of how these bracelets have changed lives during a time of need,” said Stephanie DeRieux with the God is Bigger Movement. “Whether the need is for healing, your marriage, a job, grief, addiction or depression, God will meet our needs.  To date, with the proceeds from GIB merchandise and our fundraisers, the God is Bigger Movement has distributed over 400,000 bracelets worldwide!”

On August 26, 2017, Rachel Shaneyfelt, the founder of the God is Bigger Movement passed away after a six year battle with mesothelioma.

“Rachel was a strong, courageous woman, and a huge inspiration to so many. She will forever be missed,” said DeRieux. “It was Rachel’s wish that the God Is Bigger Movement continue. Her family and friends continue to spread the God is Bigger Movement in her honor to bring Glory to God.”

Any donations received will be used to purchase bracelets for distribution worldwide.  For more information, contact Stacey at 205-966-7272 with any questions that you may have; email gibmovement.email@gmail.com or visit their website at www.gibmovement.com.
