The 27th Annual Shootout Golf Tournament at FarmLinks benefiting King’s Home is Tuesday, September 25, and the public is invited to participate. 

King’s Home brings hope to hundreds who are victims of domestic violence and other tragic and impoverished circumstances.  King’s Home operates 22 Christ-Centered, residential group homes on six campuses throughout the Greater Birmingham area caring for abused, abandoned, neglected and homeless youth, women, and children.

For 45 years King’s Home has existed to serve Christ by serving others, offering structured and goal-oriented long-term residential group homes. Food, shelter and love are provided – the basics that every person needs. Many other services and resources are administered including counseling, tutoring, parenting classes, life skills coaching, transportation, child-care, and financial literacy in order to restore hope and rebuild lives. King’s Home’s mission is to provide safe, loving, Christ-centered homes.  

Along with the opportunity for spiritual development, the program teaches life skills and offer tangible services to help residents heal from their devastating pasts, break the cycle of abuse, build healthy relationships, and become productive members of society.

The Tournament will be held at FarmLinks Golf Course in Sylacauga. Designed by Hurdzan-Fry, this 18-hole championship golf course stretches 7,444 yards and offers some of the most immaculate golf course conditions in Alabama. Golfers will enjoy a diverse layout with striking views of the mountains and lakes on Pursell Farms, along with dramatic elevation changes, wide fairways and pristine greens.
