- Sarah Langford and JT Roberson will be performing at CEPA at 7 p.m. on Aug. 16 as part of the Local Sounds series.
On August 16, come see two amazing local musicians share their songs and stories on the Pell City Center for Education and Performing Arts (CEPA) Stage for the return of Local Sounds. This show will feature Sarah Langford and JT Roberson.
Sarah Langford is a songwriter, teacher, and textile artist based out of Birmingham. Her album “Junkyard Heart” came out in 2017, with ten original folk tunes. It is available at www.sarahgurganus.bigcartel.com
Sarah’s country-folk vocals are the perfect complement to the twang of her grandfather’s Gibson guitar from the 1940s.
JT is a senior at Pell City High school and member of the PCHS Marching Band whose original music will be on display August 16.
You can see Sarah and JT on the CEPA Stage on August 16 at 7 p.m. Local Sounds Tickets are on sale now. Prices are $8 prior to the event. On the day of the event, tickets will be sold at the door for $10. Kids under 12 can attend free.
To purchase tickets, visit pellcitycepa.com/tickets. You can also call the center at 205-338-1974 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on weekdays or visit during the same times at the office next to Pell City High School at 25 Williamson Drive, Pell City.
The Center for Education and Performing Arts (CEPA) offers a local talent series featuring singer/songwriters from the surrounding areas. The event, called Local Sounds, features skilled performers on the stage playing both original and cover songs.
The Local Sounds series helps build community identity by providing a performance space for local artists, and CEPA plans to continue the series through 2018 to build it into something bigger while keeping a low price point for tickets.
