The Pell City Civitan Club’s 2018 Poker Run on Logan Martin Lake will be held this Saturday, August 4, at Pier 59.

The Pell City Civitan Club’s 2018 Poker Run on Logan Martin Lake will be held this Saturday, August 4, at Pier 59.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., and the last watercraft out will be at 10:30 a.m. The last craft in is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Entry fee is $25 per hand, and entrants must be 21 or older to win. Individuals may purchase an unlimited number of hands.

This year’s grand prize for 1st place is $1,000. The 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive $300 and $150, respectively. There will also be numerous raffle prizes that have been donated by local businesses and a split-the-pot event.

All prize money is provided by the generous support of  sponsors.

All proceeds from this event benefit the Pell City Civitan Club’s mission to improve the lives of developmentally disabled citizens in the area. Some projects include the new Sensory Room at Walter M. Kennedy Elementary School, purchases of specialized equipment for local individuals, and the Special Stars Prom held every Spring.
