Pell City Public Library is kicking off its 2018 Adult Summer Reading and Programming Series in a big way, on Wednesday July 18 at noon, with a special concert by “The King of Rock-N-Roll!”
In keeping with this year’s summer reading theme for all ages, “Libraries Rock,” the library has invited the talented “Elvis” extraordinaire of TCB Shows Terry Turner to be their special guest. This program is the first of several programs planned for this summer series, which will take place on subsequent Wednesdays in July and August.

Turner (as Elvis) will present a concert of Elvis’ most popular hits, so expect to hear more than a few of your favorites! The concert is free, and all ages are invited to attend.
While in the complex, adults are encouraged to register to participate in the reading segment of the Adult Summer Reading Program, which offers them the chance to win special prizes, such as gift baskets, dinners-for-two, gift cards, etc. just by reading books of their choosing and entering their names in a weekly drawing (one entry per book read.) Prize drawings will be held each Wednesday during the programming series and at the grand finale on August 15.
The reading segment of the series gives adults the opportunity to have a little fun, while encouraging them to read their favorite authors or genres! Audio books and e-books are acceptable reading formats, along with traditional books—and all are available for checkout through the library.
