The Springville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted Grand Opening celebrations for four businesses on Saturday morning.  These businesses have opened their doors in the community over the past couple of months and are part of what seems to be a business boom in the community. 

The morning festivities began with Daylight Donuts on the corner of Marietta Road and Purple Heart Drive, which serves a variety donuts and coffee.

“We are excited to be a part of the Springville Community,” said Vatanak Sap, owner of Daylight Donuts, “and we have already seen a lot of support from our local customers.”

Located at 143 Marietta Road in Springville, Bam’s Coin Laundry, LLC has a new location where they provide 24-hour access to large capacity washers and dryers and free Wi-Fi service.  They also have 24-hour video surveillance in all of their locations.  

“We want the Springville community to be very comfortable in our facility, and we are providing amenities like cable TV and Wi-fi to serve them,” said Brad Blaylock, owner of Bam’s Coin Laundry, LLC.  “Our large capacity washers and dryers are great for comforters or blankets in addition to your regular laundry.”

HBI Salon has served Springville for many years in a different location on Main Street, and have recently relocated to 6448 US Highway 11 in Springville.  They bring quality artistry, passion, experience and knowledge to serve the hair care needs of the community.  Their location directly beside Nichol’s Nook on Main Street is a beautiful addition to the streetscape of Downtown Springville in one of the district’s historic buildings. 

“The City of Springville has always been a great supporter of our business which allowed us to grow out of our first location,” said Jenny Ryan of HBI Salon. “We are excited to serve our customers from our new location providing a consistent product of beautiful style and inspiration.  Come and see us downtown!”

Laster’s Sundries on Main, originally built in 1927, is a newly opened ice cream parlor located at 6432 US Highway 11 in Springville serving 58 flavors of ice cream that change daily.  They have shakes, floats, sundaes and banana splits along with their custom flavor ice cream.  The shop is open Wednesday through Saturday from 12 – 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 – 7 p.m.  Laster’s also is available for rent for birthday parties and other events.

“Lasters belongs to the community. We’re just here to give it back the way most people remember… old fashion delicious ice cream,” said Teddy Zane, owner of Laster’s Sundries on Main.
