Drug search in Odenville leads to arrest

A search of an Odenville residence by narcotics investigators led to an arrest and the confiscation of a variety of drugs.
During the April 7 search on Sweet Gum Drive, investigators with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit reported finding cocaine, marijuana, Xanax pills, drug paraphernalia and suspected stolen property.
Joseph E. Nesmith, 29, of Odenville was charged with four counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful possession of marijuana, and one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of burglary third degree.
Nesmith is in the St. Clair County Jail in Ashville with a $ 128,000 bond and is waiting to see a judge.
