Robert Wayne Lee was named as the head football coach for the Pell City Panthers Football Team and Athletic Director of Pell City High School.

Lee was been the defensive coordinator for nine years at the school and was officially announced as the head coach at a special Pell City Board of Education meeting on Feb. 7. 

“He has been a great asset to the program throughout the years,” Pell City Superintendent Dr. Michael Barber said. “We’re very appreciative of everything he’s done in the past. This is a smooth transition.”

Prior to being defensive coordinator at PCHS, Lee was the Athletic Director at Pinson High School. Lee hopes to get some spots on his staff filled before spring training begins.
