The Springville Library hosted Mrs. Miranda for PreSchool StoryTime. Mrs. Miranda read “Freight Train” by Donald Crews and the children reenacted the story with toy trains.
Congratulations to the Springville Middle School’s 7th grade boys basketball team for winning the county championship. The 9th grade boys’ basketball team and varsity girls’ basketball teams advanced to the St Clair County Basketball Tournament on Friday, January 26.

The Springville Senior Center started its Beginner Computer Classes. Classes are every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Springville Public Library. All seniors are welcome. Register in the Main Library or call 205-467-2339

The Springville Presbyterian Church has been undergoing a restoration. The church is one of the oldest churches in the area. Donations to fund the restoration can be made to the Springville Presbyterian Church Foundation at P.O. Box 429, Springville, AL 35146.

The Church at Bradford Road is offering a Divorce Support Group for Children every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Contact 205-467-7376.
Springville Police Department is presenting a Firearms Safety course which is open to the public. The course includes 2 hour classroom training and 2 hours actual training on the firing range by two certified NRA instructors. You may sign up by calling Lauri Jones at 205-467-6133. The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work. Cadets also learn piloting skills.
