Planned Lane Closure on I-59 SB, in St. Clair County

ST. CLAIR COUNTY – Beginning at 8 a.m., Monday, January 22, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right lane of I-59 Southbound for Clearing Operations from south of the Ashville Exit (Milepost 166) to north of the St. Clair Springs Exit (Milepost 156). 

This lane will be closed for the removal of trees and debris from the Clearing Operation.

All travel lanes are expected to reopen at approximately 5 p.m. on Monday.

This same lane closure will be in place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 23 thru Saturday, January 27. 

Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
