The 2018 spring sports season is right around the corner, and Pell City Parks and Recreation Center has created an option for easier registration. Around 1500 children from ages 4-12 participate in various sports at the Pell City Parks and Recreation (PCPR) Center throughout the year.
Participants can now get registration forms online at pell-city.com/athletics. The form can be filled out and submitted online using a computer or phone. Registration fees will still need to be paid at the Pell City Civic Center but they now offer the option to pay by credit card.
Registration fees for T-ball (baseball ages 3-4 years of age) is $45. Baseball and softball for boys and girls ages 5-12 is $100. Soccer registration fees for children under 8 years old is $75 and $100 for ages 9-14. Registration fees include all league fees and uniforms.
Registration opens Jan. 2 and closes on Feb. 5 for Baseball and Softball and on Feb. 13 for Soccer.
Pell City Parks and Recreation is also accepting applications for coaches.
“We are always in need for volunteers for coaches,” Parks and Recreation Director Elliott Jacobik said. Those interested can pick up a coach registration for at the Pell City Civic Center.
Practice will tentatively begin before the end of February and games will begin in March.
