Ashville woman faces multiple charges from indictment

An Ashville woman has been arrested by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges following a grand jury indictment.

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators served felony grand jury indictments on Mashanta Williams, 28, of Ashville. According to reports, the indictments were for forgery, third degree, trafficking, stolen identities, burglary, second degree, unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, theft of property, first degree, and multiple counts of failure to appear. 
 

During the warrant service, narcotic investigators recovered a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.


Williams was taken into custody and is in the Ashville Jail with no bond. The court date is Jan. 23.
