After a year and a half of construction, the new Northside Medical Home facility in Pell City officially opened its doors on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

“Thank you for your vision,” Pell City Mayor Bill Pruitt said. “This is an incredible addition to Pell City.”

Pell City city leaders, the Pell City Chamber of Commerce, Northside physicians and employees, and members of the public attended the multiple ribbon cuttings for the primary facility and for the multiple specialty offices located within the 50,000 square foot addition.

“We are so excited for our patients,” Dr. Rock Helms, one of the partners in the facility and a primary visionary of its growth stated. “We now have a place they can come and have everything they need in one place. God’s hand is on this project…nothing we could’ve done by ourselves.”

The building has multiple offices encompassing Birmingham Heart Clinic, VisionFirst Eye Clinic, Eastern Surgical Associates, Alabama Oral and Facial Surgery, Northside Medical Health & Wellness,  Alacare Home Health and Hospice, and Southeast Gastro.

“This is the first step,” Helms said. “We want to create a model that puts all of the patients and staff in contact to coordinate services better, with our primary care, specialists, we can improve the efficiency and quality of our care.”

“There are so many medical services available,” Larry Daugherty, President of the Pell City Chamber of Commerce said. “The Chamber is excited and pleased with all the businesses and facilities coming to Pell City.”
