The Springville Lady Tigers Volleyball Team hosted a quad tournament on September 28 at Springville High School. Springville will advance to the county tournament after placing first at the quad tournament.

The Springville Farmers Market on Main Street (across from PNC Bank) is growing and creating a buzz with local honey, fresh vegetables, local artisan crafts and fun, food offerings.  The Springville Farmers Market will be open every Friday from 3-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. until November 11 with booths from local produce vendors and craft and art vendors.  

The Big Springs Park Splash Pad will be open Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 1– 5 p.m. Cost is $1 per person; children three years and under are free.  

Springville Police Department is presenting a Firearms Safety course which is open to the public. The course includes 2 hour classroom training and 2 hours actual training on the firing range by two certified NRA instructors. You may sign up by calling Lauri Jones at 205-467-6133. The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work. Cadets also learn piloting skills.
