The effects of Hurricane Harvey have devastated large areas of Texas, causing record-breaking flooding and damage. Because the disaster is still in progress, transport of supplies has been delayed and deployment of volunteers limited by the Texas Department of Public Health.
For now, the only request that Alabama has received is for monetary donations. The St. Clair County EMA has gathered a list of organizations that need assistance. Area churches, non-profit groups, and first responders including the Pell City Police Department are accepting donations.
If you have any questions, concerns or if you have information to be shared, please call or email the St. Clair County EMA at (205) 884-6800 or etanner@stcema.org.
