The Springville Library received a visit from Karate instructor, Kathleen Adams for Storytime on Wednesday, July 5. Storytime at the Springville Library is every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and includes a story, craft and snacks.
In honor of St. Francis, The Springville Presbyterian Church featured Pet Portrait Artist, Chris Davis for “Drawdog”on Saturday, July 8. The event featured pets, activities and pet adoption. They closed the afternoon in worship and celebrating God’s creatures and blessed the dogs and families.
The Springville Youth Soccer Association will hold online soccer registration until August 5 at www.quickscores.com/sya. There will be an in-person registration on August 5 at The First Baptist Church of Springville Soccer Fields located on Terry Street, across from Dollar General.
The Springville Antique Mall will celebrate its 10 year anniversary with refreshments, prize drawings and discounts every Saturday in July. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.- 5 p.m.

VBS Round-Up 2017
“Gadgets and Gizmos” VBS at North Valley Church will be July 9-13 each night at 6:30 p.m.
Flow Church in Ashville will host “Shipwrecked,” VBS, July 12-14 at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. each night. Register at www.kidblitz.org
The Springville High School Basketball Team is hosting “Tiger Basketball Camp,” July 24-27 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. for grades First through Sixth. Cost is $50. Contact 467-7833.
The Big Springs Park Splash Pad will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 7p.m. and on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. Cost is $1 per person. Kids aged three years and under are free.
The Springville Farmers Market on Main Street (across from PNC Bank) will be open until November 11 every Friday from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. with booths from local produce vendors and arts and crafts vendors.

The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work. Cadets also learn piloting skills.
