Sparklers

Every year communities throughout the nation come together to celebrate Independence Day. Firework displays can be seen in skies across St. Clair County. Local municipalities sponsor some celebrations, while others are conducted by private businesses, most holding an annual event for the occasion. 

Here is a list of the local events for more ways to celebrate with your friends and family for the Fourth of July:

  • Annual Fourth of July Firework Show and Shrimp Boil
  • All you can eat shrimp boil by Frank Frederick, live music by Chase Evan Music, Inflatable, guidance provided by New London Fire Department.

Clear Creek Harbor, 270 Marina Drive, Talladega 35160

  • Annual fireworks show over the point of Clear Creek Harbor. Watch from land or boat.

  • Fireworks and free waterslide.
  • Purchasing movie tickets in advance is suggested as some movie selections are expected to sell out.  

Veterans Park, 200 McMillan St. W., Talladega

  • July 4, 5 -9 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
  • Fireworks, food vendor, and music provided by a DJ beginning at 5 p.m.

  • July 4, 12-2 p.m.
  • Activities include a “fancy hot dog bar,” inflatables, music, and a watermelon-eating contest. 

Indian Springs Village, 2635 Cahaba Valley Road, Indian Springs 35124

  • Contact the Indian Springs Village town clerk Joan Downs at (205) 982-1755
  • July 4, 10 a.m.
  • Parade begins at Walmart on Valleydale Road and Caldwell Mill Road and ends at the Indian Springs Village Town Hall.
  • Several activities planned. Lunch is $8 per person
  • This is a “no fireworks” event. 

 

Lakeside Park, 2801 Stemley Bridge Road, Pell City 35125

  • July 4, approximately 9 p.m.
  • Rain or shine event
  • Come early to enjoy the park and Logan Martin Lake prior to the annual fireworks display sponsored by the City of Pell City.

Due to high traffic conditions expected at Lakeside Park in Pell City, the Pell City Police Department will assist in conducting traffic.

All traffic coming out of the Sports Complex will turn left onto Cropwell Drive, which connects to Hwy 231. 

All traffic coming out of the Pell City Civic Center parking lot will go left onto Hwy 34 towards 19 St. 

All traffic coming out of Lakeside Park will be able to turn left or right onto Stemley Bridge Road. Those turning left will be directed onto Hardwick Rd. Traffic along Hwy 34 from Talladega will turn right onto Hardwick Road as well.
