The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flood Warning for urban areas and small streams

Northern St. Clair County until 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 30.
At 9:35 a.m. Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain per
hour are possible.
Some locations that will likely experience flooding include Gadsden, Rainbow City, Boaz, Hokes Bluff, Springville, Odenville, Attalla, Glencoe, Margaret, Argo, Ashville, Sardis City, Ragland,
Ohatchee, Steele, Altoona, Walnut Grove, Reece City, Tabor Road and Aurora.
Additional rainfall amounts of up to 2 inches are possible through 11 a.m. in the affected areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All those in the affected areas should take necessary precautions immediately.
