Pell City Native Hillary Davis Graduates From Pharmacy School

Auburn – Auburn University’s James I. Harrison School of Pharmacy held its Spring 2017 commencement ceremony on Tuesday, May 10 at Auburn Arena. 

The class of 2017 included 153 students receiving the Doctor ofPharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Three students received Master of Science (M.S.) degrees, and seven others received Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.

Among the Pharm.D. graduates was Pell City native Hillary Davis. A 2009 graduate of Pell City High School, she is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael G. Barber and the wife of Albert Chadbourn Davis, Jr. Davis previously earned a bachelor of science degree in biomedical sciences from Auburn University in 2013.

Davis has accepted an American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) and The Alabama Pharmacists Association (APhA) accredited first post-graduate year residency with Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, Mass. The residency focuses on ambulatory care and community practice, with an emphasis on academia and corporate business management. Her practice sites are within the Boston Veterans Administration system.

The 15 graduates 2017 15 were represented amongst the graduates, including China, India, Saudi Arabia, Southern Africa and Ukraine. Besides Alabama graduates Alabama, Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Tethe graduates, xas, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Auburn University’s Harrison School of Pharmacy is ranked among the top 20 percent of all pharmacy schools in the United States, according to U.S. News & World Report. 

Fully-accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the School offers doctoral degrees in pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and pharmaceutical sciences (Ph.D.) while also offering a master’s in pharmaceutical sciences.
