Louie’s Pickles and Italian Deli has decided to permanently close both the Odenville and Gadsden Locations.
In a statement posted to social media, owner Lou Consoli wrote:
“We are sad to say we decided to close our restaurants down. We loved serving you a unique taste of Philly here in the south and truly appreciate our customers loyalty to our brand. Through the years we met so many people from Alabama and the surrounding states who took time to travel to our restaurants despite a busy schedule just to taste a piece of Philly. We are so honored to be able to do what we loved. Many of you became personal friends of ours and for those we did not know well we hope you felt like you were always appreciated at our business. With all of your support we feel we accomplished something pretty extraordinary for Louie’s. Through your referrals 100’s of thousands of people heard about our business. We were very thankful to be able to help so many people in many ways and hoped we made a positive impact to our communities. We are not sure what the future brings or in what direction God will lead us but we are hopeful and remain positive. We will continue to sell our pickles at shows in the southeast and are looking to start shipping pickles in the near future. We hope that Louie’s may breathe again in the future. We really appreciate you guys. From all of us at Louie’s, we love you.”
From all of us, We love you, too and best wishes in the future!
