Congratulations to the Springville Anglers for having two teams place in the Costa Bassmaster Southern Open. Both teams have qualified to compete in the Costa Bassmaster High School Nationals on Kentucky Lake. Kaitlyn Reynolds and Ryan Sweeney placed 24th out of 347 boats and 1,033 participants. Tucker Perrin and Jackson Murphree finished 129th in the tournament.
The Springville Youth Football Association held a benefit Carnival May 4-6.
Congratulations to the Springville High School Men’s Golf Team for placing 4th in the Sectional Tournament held at Limestone Springs in Blount County on May 1. They will advance to the sub state tournament at Goose Pond Colony Golf Course.

The Distinguished Young Women (DYW) of St. Clair County Scholarship Program will be Saturday, June 3 at 4 p.m. in the Springville Middle School auditorium. The Springville Farmers Market on Main Street (across from PNC Bank) will be open until November 11 every Friday from 3-6p.m. and Saturdays from 8a.m.-12p.m. with booths from local produce vendors and craft and art vendors.

The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work. Cadets also learn piloting skills.
