Pelham resident charged with drug trafficking in St. Clair

A Pelham resident has been charged in St. Clair County with drug trafficking following an arrest in Argo, according to a press release Tuesday from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office. 

Raven Burnett, 38, from Pelham became the focus of an investigation following a traffic stop initiated by the Argo Police Department at a Shell gas station in Argo on May 4, the release states. 

During the stop, the release continues, Burnett was found to be in possession of approximately 43 grams of methamphetamine, numerous pills and drug paraphernalia.

St. Clair County Narcotics Investigators were contacted and after an investigation, according to the release, the suspect was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence. 

Burnett is currently in the St. Clair County Jail and has a $254,500 bond for all four charges. Her tentative court date is July 7.
