The Pell City High School girls basketball team recently participated in a national high school “March Mania” contest hosted by FireFan, an interactive sports app, and won.

The contest began Feb. 6, with more than 700 schools nationwide eligible to participate. The PCHS girls basketball team got a late start on the competition, officially joining on March 12, but they made an incredible run. They not only made up for lost time, but ultimately claimed the first-place finish.

In celebration of their win, they will be hosting a NCAA National Championship watch party at the PCHS gymnasium on Monday, beginning at 7 p.m. The championship game itself will start at 8 p.m.

This event is free for everyone to attend and FireFan corporate employees will be present to giveaway a variety of prizes to those in attendance. Prizes include Xbox One S, Beats Wireless Headphones, Gift Cards, FireFan swag and more.
