LEEDS, AL – Mr. Billy Joe Kirby, Jr., 42, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2017 after his battle with cancer. Preceding him in death was his father, Billy Joe Kirby, Sr. and his grandparents, Buster Brown and Mable and Ambrose Kirby.

Billy Joe centered his life around his wife, children, family, friends and his faithful companion, Tripp. He was an avid Alabama Football fan and enjoyed yard selling with his daughter. Billy Joe enjoyed his work, and the people he met along the way.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri Ann Kirby; daughter, Savannah Shae Kirby; son, Billy Joe Kirby, III; mother, Glenda Files (Terrill Sweatt), two brothers, Gary Kirby and Richard Kirby, one sister, Tracy Parvin (Charley); grandmother Era Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and family and friends who gave of their time and love during his illness.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, AL
