The City of Leeds and the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce conducted a ribbon cutting on Saturday at Highway 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries in the strip mall next to Leeds Wal-Mart. As part of the grand opening festivities, our very own Elvis (Terry Padgett) performed.

Thank you for all of the support for the 3rd Annual Miracles in Motion 5k & 1-Mile Run Run/Walk/Roll to benefit Moody Miracle League. This was a great event for a great cause. Please plan to participate again in 2018!

Pancakes for a Purpose: Moody Kiwanis Club will host its semi-annual pancake supper at Carpenetti’s Pizzeria in Moody this Monday, March 20, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Proceeds will fund college scholarships for area Key Club students, youth projects and Dolly Parton Imagination Library free book program for preschoolers. $5 per plate. Leeds City Council is scheduled to meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 20 at Leeds Civic Center Meeting Room.

Moody Lions Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 20 at White’s Chapel.

Moody Area Chamber of Commerce Corporate Liaison Group will meet at Noon this Tuesday, March 21 at Laney’s Country Cooking Restaurant in Leeds. Moody Kiwanis Club is scheduled to meet at Noon on Tuesday, March 21 at Moody City Hall.

Bluegrass Barbeque will host the 1st Annual BBQ Blues & Bluegrass Festival on March 25 at Moody City Park in memory of Doyle and Hazel Crutchfield. Proceeds of the festival will benefit the Alabama Dementia & Alzheimer Care of St. Clair County. This festival will exhibit great Blues and Bluegrass music from around the region as well as arts & crafts, cook-off and vendors of all kinds. Business sponsorships are available.
