What’s Up in Odenville

Hello, readers! I’m back with this weeks edition of What’s Up in Odenville!

Last weekend I attended my 30th Class Reunion from Erwin High School. I survived the evening with massively smudged mascara from the tears of seeing people I haven’t seen since the day I walked across the stage to receive my diploma.

Most of us are still very close, but the miles separating us and the busy lives we lead has kept some of us being a part of regular gatherings. We keep in touch via social media as much as possible but some do not utilize social media, so regular interaction doesn’t take place.

Seeing these people again flooded me with emotion so strong it was overwhelming. (Hence the tears and ruined makeup.)

The evening passed at lightning speed and I wish I could just have a little more time with them. We aren’t getting any younger and I fear some I will never see again. I guess you could say Im holding on to my childhood with balled fists.

Our class motto was “Never Say Goodbye,” and we have kept true to our word.

Until I see you all again…

Let’s get to the news.
