Dennis Lee Thompson

ASHVILLE — Mr. Dennis Lee Thompson, 67, of Ashville, Ala. passed away February 26, 2017. Preceding him in death was his father, Lee Allen Thompson and brother, Timmy Thompson.

Dennis was a lifelong resident of Ashville. He was retired from the St. Clair County Board of Education – Transportation Department and the U. S. Army National Guard. He loved good times with his family and friends and Alabama football.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joy Thompson; his mother, Mildred Thompson of Ashville; daughter, Brandi Thompson-Dillard (Webb); and granddaughter, Emille (Emmy) Dillard of Marathon, Fla.; sisters, Helen Sweatt (Joe) and Karen Thompson of Ashville; sister-in-law, Judith Thompson of London Ky.; seven nieces and 11 nephews; five special grandchildren and a loving family and friends.

A memorial service was held at Pine Forest Baptist Church on March 2, 2017. Interment followed in the Pine Forest Cemetery.

Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla was in charge of the service.
