Southern Baptists are observing the Annual Week of Prayer for North American Missions beginning Sunday, March 5 – Sunday, March 12. Also the ingathering of the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering began and will continue through Easter Sunday.
Mt. Moriah Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU), held a church-wide meeting Monday Evening, March 6 to pray for the missionaries (North American) who are featured in the prayer guide. It was a very special occasion. There were tablescapes , which of course, were very beautiful. Mrs. Jessie Garrison, who was formerly an active member of Mt. Moriah and was a leader in WMU, was the guest speaker. Her testimony was, indeed, inspiring and when she reminisced and spoke of some of the fun times Mt. Moriah had, there was a lot of laughter. There were twenty-six men, women, children and youth present. A delicious meal was served and the fellowship was wonderful! Mrs. Redena King is the WMU Director and Rev. Mickey Jones is the church pastor.

(Devin is the son of my niece, Amy Black, and is the grandson of my brother and sister-in-law, Joe “Cliff” and Beverly Black and Judy and Walter Wagner.

Please keep a continual prayer vigil for our nation and its leaders, the safety of our schools/Head Start, and college students and the personnel of these, our soldiers and veterans, those in nursing homes/assisted living centers and the personnel of these, the bereaved and the sick and shut-ins, those you know of who are patients in hospitals, the nation of Israel and all other prayer needs.
