Southern Baptists are observing the Annual Week of Prayer for North American Missions beginning Sunday, March 5 – Sunday, March 12. Also the ingathering of the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering began and will continue through Easter Sunday.
Mt. Moriah Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU), held a church-wide meeting Monday Evening, March 6 to pray for the missionaries (North American) who are featured in the prayer guide. It was a very special occasion. There were tablescapes , which of course, were very beautiful. Mrs. Jessie Garrison, who was formerly an active member of Mt. Moriah and was a leader in WMU, was the guest speaker. Her testimony was, indeed, inspiring and when she reminisced and spoke of some of the fun times Mt. Moriah had, there was a lot of laughter. There were twenty-six men, women, children and youth present. A delicious meal was served and the fellowship was wonderful! Mrs. Redena King is the WMU Director and Rev. Mickey Jones is the church pastor.
