Pell City Boy Scout Mayor’s breakfast to honor two

The Three River District of the Greater Alabama Council of the Boy Scouts of America will honor Tommy Bowers and James Oliver McGowan with the Heart of an Eagle Award at this year’s Pell City Boy Scout Mayor’s Breakfast. The Heart of an Eagle Award is given to deserving individuals who have demonstrated leadership, character, and integrity in their service to the community, their profession, and their country. It symbolizes strength and compassion and demonstrates that leadership and philanthropy go hand-in-hand in serving your fellow man. The award is unique to the Greater Alabama Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Three Rivers District serves East Jefferson and St. Clair Counties. The Greater Alabama Council encompasses the twenty-two northern counties of Alabama.
Mr. Tommy Bowers and James Oliver McGowan will be recognized at Pell City Boy Scout Mayor’s Breakfast, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Pell City Civic Center, in Pell City, 7:30 a.m. The keynote speaker is attorney John Rea with Trussell, Funderburg, Rea & Bell P.C. and attorney for the City of Pell City.
