Above, around 150 Pell City School System students from kindergarden to fifth grade participated in the The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Mercedes Marathon on Saturday, Feb. 11th. Students ran 26.2 miles over the course of five months at their schools leading up to the marathon, where they ran their final mile in Birmingham at the event. Students received race packets for registering and a Mercedes medal for completing the final mile.
