VINCENT – Gavin Kane McCutcheon, 18 of Vincent, Ala., died while riding as a passenger in a single car accident on Friday, February 3, 2017. He was born on November 3, 1998 in Pell City, Ala. to Farah Shaddix and Doug McCutcheon.
He was known for his positive outlook on life, quick wit, great sense of humor, love of travel, people and music. Gavin was avid about children being bullied and started a Facebook page (Stop Bulling – Speak Up) with hopes of bringing awareness to the growing issue of suicides due to people being bullied.
He is survived by his mother, Farah Shaddix; father, Doug McCutcheon; two brothers, Hunter Shaddix and Keydan McCutcheon; two sisters, Lauren Shaddix and Evie McCutcheon; grandparents, Martha Ledlow, G. Douglas and Shelia McCutcheon, Daree McCay and Glen Thaxton; Aunt Sherri Schatzer and Unclue Scott Schatzer; living friend, Tom Hemma; along with countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
To whare warm memories, good thoughts and positive vibes, the family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, February 10, at Kilgroe Funeral Home, 2219 2nd Avenue North, Pell City, Ala. The Celebration of Life will begin at 6 p.m. Tim McCutcheon will share words of comfort and encouragement. Everyone is welcome to attend.
