Severe weather threat issues until Wednesday

According to the US National Weather Service, Birmingham Alabama, there are two significant weather systems that are expected to affect Alabama this week.  One is tonight and another on Tuesday night, and into Wednesday.

As of the latest update, there is a limited rick of severe thunder storms, wind gusts up to 60 m.p.h. and a few, brief tornadoes.

Windy conditions are expected across all of central Alabama, with a potential for sustained winds of 20-30 m.p.h. and higher gusts. These winds could bring down tree branches or smaller trees that have been weakened by the drought.

Both of these systems should provide substantial rainfall, with a threat for severe storms, including tornadoes. Stay weather aware over the next few days.
