Saturday is the perfect day to avoid the mall and hit up a locally owned, St. Clair County business.
November 26 is Small Business Saturday. This annual shopping day was created to highlight and garner support small business in your area. It serves as an encouragement to shoppers to not forget the unique businesses that are located right down the street.
This year marks the seventh Small Business Saturday, an annual celebration of America’s small business community coordinated by the Small Business Administration (SBA) in partnership with American Express, Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) and others.
On Small Business Saturday 2015, more than 95 million Americans spent a combined $16.2 billion at independent neighborhood retailers and restaurants – often purchasing locally-sourced and unique handmade gifts for loved ones or “dining small” at their favorite local eatery.
The holiday season is the perfect time to stop into a local shop and see what products and services you can find, all while supporting your neighbors.
