Connect with St. Clair County through a powerful and moving evening of storytelling and local musical performances.
Pell City Center for Education and the Performing Arts (CEPA) closes its 2016 fall season with a sentimental performance that is all about St. Clair.
Get it on the local-focused evening on Oct. 23 through music and story telling, featuring renowned storyteller Dolores Hydock. Hydock will be performing “Footprint on the Sky: Voices from Chandler Mountain,” a performance that will introduce the audience to some of the fascinating people living in the area in the 70s.
Hydock will not take the stage alone, though. She will be joined by musicians Flying Jenny, who will interweave songs written in St. Clair County throughout her tale of her first experience living on Chandler Mountain in the 1970s.
Before Hydock and Flying Jenny take the stage, Ashville bluegrass artists Whitney Junction will perform their own unique blend of bluegrass gospel music. Members of the group include: Alan Furr (Mandolin & vocals), Sandra Furr (vocals), Mickey Farmer (lead guitarist), Yvonne Davis (vocals), Donnie Todd (rhythm guitarist) and Eric Brown (Bass).
Tickets are on sale now. Cost is $10 for Reserved Seating, and VIP Tickets that include access to a private reception before the event are only $20. Buy yours by visiting pellcitycepa.com or calling CEPA’s Ticket Hotline at (205) 332-1961.
