Pell City Election Results: Bill Pruitt wins Pell City mayoral election

Mayor:
Bill Pruitt was voted the next mayor of Pell City at the August 23 municipal elections. The votes were tallied at the Pell City Civic Center and Pruitt received the majority.
Pruitt claimed 1213 votes, while his opponent, current mayor Joe Funderburg, received 846.
City Council:
In District 1, Jay Jenkins won, with 170 votes, while his challenger David Arnett received 118.
In District 2, James McGowan remained in his position, as he was not opposed.
In District 3, Blaine Henderson won with 163 votes, his opponent Dot Wood received 109.
In District 4, Jason Mitcham won with 388 votes, Sharon Thomas received 230.
In District 5, Jud Alverson received 336 votes, Phil Roberson received 143 and Terry Templin received 193. This will call for a runoff election between Alverson and Templin, on Oct. 4.
Board of Education:
This seat will go to a runoff election between Jeff Jones and Sonia Dale.
