School Supply Drive

As the community prepares for school to start back up, school supply shopping turns local retailers into a flurry of pencils, notebooks and checklists. Schools send out supply lists indicating what students need in their book bags as they take on the next step in their academic path.

This week, hundreds of children will start the school year without the basic school supplies they need to help them succeed academically. While school supplies are not imperative for a strong school year, being equipped and prepared for the year can help students focus on school and not a lack of materials.

Shepherd Supply has teamed up with the City of Moody and together, the groups are doing what they can to help out students in need. They are hosting a school supply drive, and it is easy for the community to participate.

The drive focuses on providing critical supplies to children who are in need in the community. The public is invited to donate supplies at the designated drop-off locations, placed throughout Moody.

Donations can be taken to Moody City Hall, Moody Library or the Moody Splash Pad. At each location, there will be a designated drop-off box for the supply drive.
