I was at the Ragland Library today, July 11, and I saw a set of seats that were old and marked off so you couldn’t sit on them. I learned they were from the ball field where Rudy York played.

I spoke with Mrs. Sandi and Mrs. Geri, who told me a little about the history of the town. Did you know we have several people from our town that did great things? We have some writers and I think I will go read one or two of their works this summer. Support local talent and go by the library to check out their pieces.

We are planning a party to Save Our Scoreboard at the old field. Our party will be in September. We will have a karaoke contest, food and so much more. If you would like to put up a booth, contact us. Come show us some love. The Cement Plant has donated it to us but it needs a lot of work. Don’t forget to find your favorite band kid this summer. They are selling band calendar. The price is $7.50 for a calendar. One listing is free and additional listing will be .25 cents apiece. Business ads or just advertising love to your favorite band kid are $40 apiece.

Also, you all know that there is so much tragedy in this world with innocent people dying every day. Don’t let this old evil world tear you all down. Love one another, pray for one another, think of someone other than yourself.
