My husband and I had the pleasure of attending the reception this week for Michael S. Ballew, Leeds Arts Council’s featured artist for June at the Leeds Theatre and Arts Center. I have known Michael for approximately 10 years and have worked directly with him at Camp Artselle, the art camp he directs at the Hartselle Fine Arts Center. I have watched Michael utilize his art skills in teaching art to his students each year, but had not seen his beautiful work. His art collection will be on exhibit through June 30 so I urge you to stop by to see it. I now have an original piece of his work.
