The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) will sponsor its annual food drive on Saturday, May 14.
The drive is a national event where local U.S. Post Offices collect food and distribute it through food pantries in their communities. In St. Clair County, the food residents donate during this drive is used by The Christian Love Pantry.
NALC asks that St. Clair residents be generous during this year’s drive with donations, which can be made by placing plastic bags of canned or dry goods next to or on their mailboxes on May 14. No glass containers can be accepted.
St. Clair Christian Love Pantry helps hundreds of families each year living in St. Clair County. Local generosity will help the carriers, both city and rural, have a great food drive this year.
“You are the missing piece of the puzzle,” said Alan Foster, operations manager with the Christian Love Pantry. “Please help.”
