ASPCI, a rescue and adoption organization, is announcing the opening of its Administrative Office in Cropwell, Alabama.
ASPCI has operated a Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) since its inception. Dog and cat owners with household income below $49,000 annually can purchase a low-cost certificate for spay or neuter surgery that is honored by seven local veterinary clinics.
At the new location, volunteer or a staff member will be available to sell low-cost spay/neuter certificates and to provide information on other programs offered by ASPCI. No animals are accepted by ASPCI without an appointment.
“Having an administrative office gives ASPCI a physical location where people in the community can reach us directly by telephone or drop by to obtain more information about these valuable programs. “ said Barbara Wallace, ASPCI President. “Our managed admission program is a new concept and we want the community to understand how to participate.”
The SNAP certificates are $55 for dogs and $35 for cats. All the veterinarians in the program require the animal to be up to date on vaccinations. A certificate for the vaccinations can be purchased for an additional $35. SNAP certificates are available for purchase during office hours at our new Administrative Office.
“ASPCI supports responsible pet ownership and encourages pet owners to have their pet spayed or neutered,” Wallace said. “We believe the greatest solution for the problem of animal over-population is to have your pet spayed or neutered.”
ASPCI has a volunteer and foster-care network which houses all our animals and allows our participation in adoption events. This network also houses pets in preparation for scheduled rescue transports.
Wallace says that the new facility will be used to achieve the organization’s goals of placing animals in forever homes through adoption.
ASPCI accepts animals by appointment only. To arrange an appointment, go to aspci.org and complete an admissions application. Once submitted, an Admission Coordinator will contact you.
The new Administrative Office, located at 2631 Martin Street South, Suite 202 in Cropwell will open April 4th. Days and hours of operation of the office are Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
There will be a Grand Opening and Open House on Monday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a Greater Pell City Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 12:30 p.m.
