Parents of children who will turn five by Sept. 1, 2016 are invited to the kindergarten registration event hosted by the Pell City School system. This gives the teachers a chance to meet student and parents before the school year begins. They will be able to answer questions and provide parents with information on how the student can be successful in kindergarten. Early registration allows faculty to place your child in a classroom during the summer and know who his or her teacher will be, before school starts.

The event will be held at each child’s school. To find out which school your child will be attending, call the Central Office at (205) 884-4440. The student’s parent or legal guardian is the only ones allowed to register the students. 

Registration will be on April 21, from 4-6 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend, even if parents are missing some documentation. 

Required Documentation: 

     Birth Certificate

     Social Security Card

     Blue immunization form

     Proof of residence – Most recent power or water bill

     Custody Papers – If applicable

     Driver’s License – The schools will make a copy for checkouts
